I have taken the plunge! Yesterday I opened my very own etsy store.
So far there only a couple of items up there, some of my vintage inspired artworks and a pair of GORGEOUS vintage leather shoes.
I have many MANY gorgeous vintage clothes to share with everyone, hopefully I will be able to list them in the next week or so, depends on the decidedly NON-fun burden of uni assignments and exams.
If you are looking for something in particular let me know and I will keep an eye out for you, or if you would like some sort of art-work for your walls I am more than happy to create something personal.
Spreading my wings,
Little Raven

It may have been almost a year to the day since I began this blog but with so many ideas to make little tiny changes in my life and to be part of something bigger I have decided to revive this space, dust off the cobwebs and make the old new again!
Part of the reason I am back here is the inspiration I have gleaned from browsing www.weardrobe.com I cannot go a day without coming across an outfit I wish I had created, and it does more than just inspire it has fuelled my growing love for vintage clothing. I have always lent towards buying vintage for the ethical reasons, to break the cycle of consumption and waste, but I just can’t sacrifice my love of wearing wonderful things.
At the moment my favourite place to shop is www.leasvintage.etsy.com I have bought 2 wonderful dresses from her in the last few weeks, one of which should arrive very soon.
I am also lusting after this dress! http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vl_other_1&listing_id=30467052
But just because it is vintage doesn’t mean buying it will change the world, but hopefully when people ask about where i got these lovely things from I can tell them why i bought them.

Take the plunge, take the pledge! http://www.buyhandmade.org/
I know it seems like Christmas is a long way away, but the time is always right to change your shopping habits!
I am a fashion and shopping addict, growing up in a house full of girls will do that to you, but I have long seen the value in making my own clothes, gifts and cards, as well as buying things that were handmade by others. Often handmade items are more expensive than their mass-produced cousins, but they have heart, and a gift made with love is worth so much more than one with a thousand others like it. For students like myself, or anyone who wants to save a bit of money making your own gift cards and wrapping papers from unusual collections of recycled items is a great idea. Try the sports page of your local paper for a sports mad father, the possibilities are endless.
I love recycling things, as a collector of anything and everything my desk is littered with interesting papers, posters, buttons and oddities that I have found, picked up for free or bought for a tiny price in op-shops. Things don’t have to cost the earth, and by re-using things which would have been thrown away you are doing so many good things all at once. If you don’t have the time or the creativity then buying handmade things is just as good. Check out www.Etsy.com for all manner of beautiful handmade creations.
